Fall-Apart Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

We probably use this recipe more than any other. It works with almost any kind or roast (beef or pork). It has been modified from the original recipe to be more Bright Line Eating compliant.

Cook Time: 2 hr

Total Time: 2 hr 10 min



  • 3 lb round roast
  • 4 medium onion sliced
  • 4 lb carrots sliced
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 2 cups water or bone broth


  1. Add the roast to the Instant Pot and sprinkle on the sea salt.
  2. Add the onions, carrots and water.
  3. Close and lock the lid. Set Instant Pot to “Manual” and program for 120 minutes.
  4. You may do quick release or natural release.
